FOCOM products make use of a unique combination of implicit physiological measures which are better predictors of consumer behaviour than self report measures.
In addition to brain-derived implicit measures (EEG, NIRS) we employ autonomous nervous system (ANS) measures of arousal such as changes in heart rate and skin conductance, as well as pupil dilation and facial expressions. All of these responses are involuntary and thus provide a more objective ways of assessing responses to different food products. The combination of these different measures allows us to exploit their individual strengths for better predictive power.
